The mission of the Free for All Endowment Fund at the Boston Foundation is to ensure that everyone from the Boston region—children, adults, families—will have regular and permanent access to the rich world of classical, orchestral music and related cultural events.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, in October 2020, the Free for All Endowment Fund awarded $200,000 total in grants to seven organizations. This general operating support is intended to help them weather the pandemic and continue to provide innovative and accessible programming.
