Live Arts Boston Cohort Celebration

October 17, 2024

From arts supporters and advocates to experienced creative practitioners, folks from all over the Greater Boston area gathered on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at The Foundry in Cambridge, MA, to celebrate the new Live Arts Boston cohort and their achievements.

We were delighted to gather during National Arts & Humanities Month for a fall evening filled with music, food, and connection. This event brought together our newest cohort of grantees, the arts and culture leaders who assisted in the review process and application design, folks from TBF and the Barr Foundation, and the community members who support and guide the LAB program.

The evening began with a heartfelt welcome from Catherine T. Morris, Director of Arts & Creativity at The Boston Foundation. The grantees’ achievements were celebrated and honored with inspiring remarks from Dr. M. Lee Pelton, President and CEO of TBF. He highlighted the strength and vibrancy of Boston’s arts and culture scene and the invaluable contributions these creators make to our communities. Breaking down artistic silos and celebrating accomplishments together, the grantees ended the night dancing, networking, and forging new connections across disciplines, sectors, and industries.

As the arts sector continues to recover from the effects of the COVID pandemic, this event was a meaningful evening of connection, convening, and trust-building. We are honored to have celebrated with folks who were in the room and those who were thinking of us from afar. Congratulations again to the grantees and we look forward to all that is to come!
