The Evolution of Mass in Motion: One State's Response to a National Epidemic

Mass in Motion 2016 coverIn 2008, a growing body of evidence was demonstrating a rising tide of obesity nationally and in Massachusetts.  To address this significant public health problem, the Commonwealth launched Mass in Motion in January of 2009.  Today, more than 60 cities and towns across the state have Mass in Motion programs.

At this Understanding Boston Forum the Boston Foundation released The Evolution of Mass in Motion: One State's Response to a National Epidemic, a report on the evolution of Mass in Motion, what has been accomplished to date and the challenges that remain.
