Boston – Boston Indicators, the research center at the Boston Foundation, today unveiled a new website that curates and provides a home for new research on racial wealth inequities in Greater Boston and across the country.
The Racial Wealth Equity Resource Center, also known as RWERC, will serve as a platform for new research in three distinct ways:
“With so much important research available on racial wealth equity available, and so much work to do, it can be challenging for experts and non-experts alike to find and track it,” said Luc Schuster, Executive Director of Boston Indicators. “We see RWERC as a natural extension of our work to share and highlight critical data on race and wealth, and the many elements that feed into historical and continuing issues of wealth inequity.”
The new site was made possible by a grant from the Barr Foundation, and will receive continuing operational support from the Boston Foundation. The site is accessible at rwerc.org.
Journalists seeking information on racial wealth inequities in Greater Boston and beyond are encouraged to explore the site. Boston Indicators can also provide insights and guidance on issues and research related to racial equity.
