Project Catapult: One Year Later

DATE + TIME

December 16, 2020

3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

LOCATION

Webinar

Early in 2019, and following the release of The Catapult Papers, SkillWorks and the Boston Foundation launched Project Catapult. Working in close partnership with the business community, the original goal was to take advantage of a booming, tight labor market by investing in the exponential growth of Greater Boston’s most effective, market-driven training and education organizations. The inaugural cohort of the Catapult Leadership and Learning Lab provided organizations with the space, resources and support to build capacity as well as develop and test innovative solutions to the workforce challenge. Between July 2019 and November 2020, many valuable lessons were learned, but since March, the pandemic and the resulting economic crisis have transformed the landscape within which Project Catapult operates.

Please join the Boston Foundation, SkillWorks, and the first cohort of the Catapult Leadership and Learning Lab for a candid conversation about the first year of Catapult, what worked and what didn’t, the numerous ways in which a post COVID-19 economy has had an impact on the Project’s central premise and ways to move forward.

There will be a networking session following the webinar, from 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
