Nicole Cribbins Foundation

Nicole Cribbins

Nicole Cribbins led a remarkable life of leadership and service. Her energy and infectious smile were her light and her ability to connect with people was her gift.

In October 2021, Nicole was diagnosed with a rare and advanced “double hit” non-Hodgkins lymphoma. She bravely fought the disease for sixteen months undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto and CAR-T immunotherapy and a clinical trial at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

From the beginning, Nicole knew that she would use her own experience to help others facing cancer.  She believed that this horrible disease had found her for a reason and was motivated to help those fighting cancer and the families that supported them in any way she could. We were lucky to have access to the best doctors in the world. It was Nicole’s hope that they would learn from her disease so that outcomes would be improved and ultimately a cure would be found.

At this time, the Nicole Cribbins Foundation exists to honor Nicole and her goal of improving and supporting both the lives of people living with cancer and their families. Our first gift is a five-year commitment to MD Anderson to fund a study on effective bridging therapy for lymphoma patients who undergo CAR T-cell therapy. We are actively working with Princes Margaret Hospital to fund a second similar study.

Our hope is that through Nicole’s foundation, we will work with the top cancer institutions in the world to make progress in the fight against lymphoma and support patients and their families through their cancer journey.

The Nicole Cribbins Foundation at tBf is a Donor Advised Fund, advised by Matt Cribbins.
