Donor Advised Funds
Amplify Your Charitable Giving
Open a Donor Advised Fund at the Boston Foundation
Donor Advised Funds can help you streamline your giving, increase the impact of your contributions, and receive the maximum charitable tax savings. Maximize your philanthropy with access to our research, skilled asset management and a century of experience with donors and professional advisors.
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving vehicle created by an individual, family or organization. It is ideal if you want the benefits of a private foundation with none of the administrative, legal, tax or regulatory burdens.
A DAF is quick to establish and offers an immediate tax benefit. It allows you to make grants over time to nonprofit organizations of your choice here at home or anywhere in the world. You can establish a DAF at the Boston Foundation with a donation of cash, stocks, real estate or other non-cash assets.
As a DAF advisor, you will have access to our topnotch Donor Portal, allowing you to see your Fund’s balance and make grants at any time. Additional resources on giving and gift opportunities are also available. If you want to contribute to nonprofits in Greater Boston, you will benefit from the wisdom of the Boston Foundation’s experienced staff and the research and forums that we offer through our civic leadership.
